Personal Health Manager Features
Personal Health Manager is made up of a range of valuable services which employees can utilise as, and when, they need them.
- 24-hour GP Helpline: Day or night employees can speak to a qualified GP or nurse about any medical concerns they may have
- 24-hour Stress Counselling Helpline: Whenever they need to talk, employees can get confidential help and advice on combating stress from an experienced counsellor
- Symptom Assessment: Employees can save time and consult a 'virtual doctor' in the comfort of their own home. It can assess symptoms, suggest possible diagnoses, suggest what they can do for themselves at home and even recommend when they should seek care. A ‘call-back’ can also be requested from the GP helpline to discuss the symptoms
- Health Planner: The Health Planner allows employees to carry out a personal online assessment of their health, diet and lifestyle, giving them a better overview of the state of their health. They can then develop a personalised plan on key areas such as stress, fitness and diet
- Medical Encyclopaedia: An easy-to-use online tool that improves employees’ medical knowledge, allowing them to look up extensive medical information including medical terms and conditions
- Plus: A range of other useful tools including information on hospital waiting lists, hospital services and a range of other health-related topics.
These features are included with and available for persons covered by Norwich Union Healthcare Private Medical Insurance and Group Income Protection products. However, all employees can be granted access to these features, for a per-employee fee.
